HAd a blast tonight here at Augustana College for all the GREEKS. Thanks for packing the house and many of you sitting on the floor. I know that was not the most comfortable. Thank you to Student Activities Staff for being so cool and Katie for picking me up and getting me back to the hotel! Rock Island, IL- home of John Deere and many other great people. I am not a fan of comedy, but you got multiple laughs out of me! Your message was awesome! It was powerful, meaningful and helpful, I think it’s wonderful how you use your own story to motivate students who might venture down the same path you did! Some people say one person can’t change the world, I disagree. One person can change another person, who changes another and another and soon the world is changed! This is what you are doing, changing the world, one college at a time!
I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the show tonight it was hysterical and you’re message is meaningful and one that can touch the lives of others. Thanks so much for coming to Augie!
Bernie if you ever come to rock island again were going to kick your ass. But seriously… your speech was one of my favorite memories made at Augie so far. I loved your message and I loved every single thing you had to say because it was a breath of fresh air when we are so often forced to listen to lectures. You are a great role model and an amazing comedian. Glad to have had the experience of actually seeing you perform! WOO HOO you rock!
