Bernie, I wanted to let you know that i appreciated you coming to Wofford. Not only did you make me laugh, you also made my heart sink when you told the story of your brother and his death. It means a lot when someone can touch you through words and send a message right to your heart. You did that and more. I have never planned on drinking, and after hearing your story, i feel that much more strongly on the issue. Thank you so much for your story. Thank you also for making me laugh my angle side side off (ha. college math humor!!). And thank you for taking pictures with us and giving me a hug when i asked for one!
haha
So, without further ado, I wish to submit this comment to you with my thanks!…and fingers crossed

Bernie, tonight was awesome! I am a big fan of comedy with a message and yours was one of the best. Thank you so much for coming to Wofford. I believe that your message spoke to many of the incoming freshmen and I think it will have a great influence on helping them adjust to the college scene. Again thank you so much for coming I really enjoyed it!

Bernie, your act made tonight so much better. I was expecting something really corny and cheesy but your act was very funny and kept my attention. Hope you had a great time while on our campus. Well thanks for coming it was great.

Bernie thanks for coming tonight. I found your show incredibly funny yet really heart felt at the same time. Im so glad that you could give a first hand example of what happens when kids get out of control. I look forward to maybe seeing you again sometime.
When I first heard that we were having a comedian, who was also a motivational speaker, I was skeptical. I’ve seen numerous motivational speakers come through Wofford College and they were good but nothing special. I figured that Bernie would either not be taken seriously because he was a comedian or he wouldn’t be funny because he was a motivational speaker. I was wrong though. I laughed hard and loud. His act was hilarious and centered around college life. Then when the message about drinking/drugs came through, it was one that really hit home for anybody, but especially college students. Then, he managed to wrap up his act by continuing to be hilarious while still driving the message home. I would see Bernie again over and over.

Thank you for coming to Wofford College. The students and the staff enjoyed your performance. Your humor, your energy and your message were just what we needed, and they added a touching and personal dimension to our Orientation Program last night. I was pleased to read the postings from our students so you could read their responses – awesome, excellent, and great. I highly recommend you and your presentation to other colleges and universities. You are welcome in Spartanburg and at Wofford any time. Congratulations on being and staying sober. Best wishes for continued success – personally and professionally.
