Awesome show Bernie. I have a family history of alcoholism as well so I felt like I really connected with your story. I am so proud of you for staying sober for 21 years! I hope I run into you again sometime down the road. My family could really benefit from your story.

Hey Bernie,
Tonight was cool, real cool, so cool I’d like just that tiny littly seam from the quilt so my jewelry can be warm…. loL!

What you’re doing is awesome. Don’t stop and always keep your chin up like you’re talking to your little brother, Shawn. Reliving that day your other brother died must be tough to go through each time you give a show, But know this: you gave more than one message when you came tonight. One some know and some may not – to athletes-anyone.

Besides giving us an Amazing Alcohol Awareness speech, you also let us remember the world is a lot bigger than just us. A couple months ago I had a scare of taking my life, I was alone, like your brother, it wasn’t with a gun, but, I thought, well, lets just say, I wanted out, away, to get away from letting everyone down. Somehow, why I dunno, but I prayed last second – God reminded me of the rest of the world he made for us.
My horse, my dog, my mom, veteran disabled dad, sisters, and my little niece and nephew – they are my world too.

You reminded the Athletes tonight, with the story of Shawn there are other amazing people to look out for and care about. The world is just too amazing to let ourselves go – how conceited are we then? When we are all we see?

Thank you keep it up – I know I heard you – I bet they did too.
