Hey I’m the first person to comment, that should count for something, right??!!! I loved the show-very funny and gave a good message. By the way, I hate to admit it but the whole women hogging the bed thing is perfect! But, now this is turning into a message instead of a wall post so I’ll leave it at that! I had a great time!
Your show was so entertaining and funny!!! I loved the message it was very inspirational. Thank You!!
I loved the show! You are hilarious with an inspirational message. Great stories, keep up the good work.
Bernie, Sorry about the mike. I thought you could fix it!

Her Bernie ~ My friends and I thought you were great tonight. Thank you for such a great presentation with a great message! My dad is an alcoholic so I understand how it feels to live and be around someone with a problem.. You are one of the “lucky” ones (after many troubles) to finally seek a better route for your life. God bless and best of luck to you!
That was soooo freakin’ awesome, Nice way of making us think while we enjoyed ourselves. You just made my Night…
Thank you sooo Much!!!
Sami
Awesome job tonight man. You gave us an awesome time with laughs, but you also gave us something to go home with and think about. You went about it the right way. We have enough lecturing, and your presentation was far from any lecture I have ever heard. Good luck on the road and thanks for giving your message.
Hey! I just got done watching your show and thought I would write a comment before I forget! My name is megan I am originaly from moorhead MN, and I am currently a third year student at NDSCS; going for my LPN in the nursing program! Aftter attending your show I thought that it was very funny and informative at the same time! Your stories really relate to many situations that students here and everywhere deal with on a daily basis. I enjoyed listening to your speech, and thought that it was a much better atmosphere about alcohol than the previous presenters we have had. I hope you can stop by our school again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to come to lovely North Dakota! I also looked at pictures of your brother and family, they look very nice!
Good luck to you in the future! thanks again!
OMG your show was awesome!! It was nothing what I expected. I could relate to a few things that you were talking about with family and drinking. Gotta say you really moved me. Thanks for coming here and I hope you have a safe drive back and I just have to ask what were the results on the test you took? lol I had too!!
Bernie,
Thank you for coming to Wahpeton and giving the students the message about what drugs and alchohol did to you. You are a funny man! I hope you come back. You deserve a sweet girlfriend, your personality shines through you. My favorite part is when you talk about your brother and how you spend time with him. It’s cute and sweet. Those are the things in life a person shouldnt take for granted and see it for what is definately worth. Here I sit as a NDSCS student (in CAB – Campus Activities Board) at the recently turned age of 34. When I was in highschool, starting as a sophmore I too partied really hard. I’ve been partying up in the Nordgard Hall since I was 16. I’ve been trying to complete my education in college right after highschool 1994 dropped out after the second semester, 1996 finished one semester, 1998 one semester, I never finished a degree due to partying and skipping classes. This is a great college, it’s a legacy in my family, but it has also been a party college since I can remember. Heck – Wahpeton is a party town, even in highschool.
Anyways, thank you for coming. I hope you come back next year. We’d love to have you back, I’m sure. Kyla
Bernie,
Your show tonight was awesome! Hands down, the best comedy show/motivational speech ever. It was very fun to listen to but also very moving. I think it’s an awesome idea that you talked about something so important in today’s society but made it more than fun to listen to! The speech itself was very moving for me because I have went through alot in my life and still haven’t turned to drinking or drugs. I have never smoked pot or anything like that once in my life. I drink every once in a great while but its HONESTLY just a few. haha. Down at school it’s been kinda hard to find friends because everyone that I meet her drinks or smokes. To have you talk about something that important was really fun to listen to but also made me feel very good about myself in the sense that I haven’t turned to drinking or drugs to make my problems go away. Thanks for an awesome show and would love to see it again!!! p.s….. you get used to the smell in the town when your here enough;)
Hey Bernie, great show tonight and great message!
hey bernie,
you were hilarious!! we could relate to you on almost everything u talked about…good and bad. the ending was pretty surprising, but she got what she deserved!! i personally have had experiences with alcohol, just alcohol. and i have always told myself that by the time i turn 21, i will be sick of drinking. this is my first year of college, and i have actually slowed down on drinking. i am 19 and i am pretty sick of drinking. thats how much i drank when i was younger. i started when i was about 14, and in small towns, that’s all there is to do. so i hope you realize how good of a comedian and inspirational speaker you are, and keep doing it!
(P.S. my roommate and i would really like to read “I Killed”…hint hint!)
In the show you told us about how all comedians say that they “killed at a show”. Well I will be totaly honest, you murdered!! That was the best show I have seen in a very long time, thanks for comming to NDSCS. Say hi to your brother.
AWESOME SHOW MAN!
That was a rely great show!!
Bernie,
Your show had great message I had a similar loss…my cousin was killed in a drunk driving accident and that motivated me not to drink anymore. However I do drink everyone and a while but hey no bodies perfect. Well I just wanted to say thanks for a great show and thanks for chillin’ with us after the show in the street it was cool. Thanks again
Damian
Bernie-
Thank you so much for coming to our school. I think the message you brought touched a lot of people. I dont drink but I a lot of my friends do and I think it is a good message to get out there and needing people to realize that the choices they make can put themselves and others in danger and it could ruin your life causing you to have many regreats. I thought that you did a great job of telling the message while doing comedy at the same time. I loved your comedy show… I thought it was halarious. I really liked that you looked in the mirror one day and said enough is enough, you have lost to much and want to change things now. It takes a lot of courage to change who you have been for so long. Your brother sounds like a real gift from god. I am glad that you see that and dont take anything for granted. I have been through a lot in my life also…. not drinking related but I was in a bus accident not to long ago and my best friends sister passed away. The bus driver had fallen asleep with 48 lifes in his hands ( high school band trip) lets just say it was no fairt tale ending…. people make mistakes but there is a lot of mistakes that can be prevented and it all starts with the individual making smart choices. Thanks again for everything. You did a great job and I wish you the best in the future. Hope to see you next year!
That was a great show!
That was a great show.
What a great show! I really liked your life story in the mix with all the comedy. This is such an inspirational and unique way to teach myself and others about your powerful message about drugs and alcohool. I am so gald you had the courage to change your life around for the better. Keep doing what you do, I know so many people will be inspired by your story.
I have to say that at first i thought that this was going to be another one of those boring talks about not drinking while throwing in some boring dry jokes, so i made my friends come with me. But we were all laughing non-stop throughout the entire show. PLUS, i actually got all of your jokes! lol. That was the first.
Good luck and god bless.
Hey Bernie-
Great show man awesome message. I hope your message will pop into peoples minds when there drinking. I think you did an awesome job turning a really serious topic into comedy. You got everyones attention and made people want to stay and listen. Great job I would recommend you to anyone. I’ll bet your speaches will save a lot of lives Great job!

Hey, thanks for coming to this little stinky town in North Dakota! Gave me something to do entertaining to get out of the house, and a reason to get away from my son for an hour. haha. Naw i love the lil poop factory.
Anyways just wanted to say thank you, and you send out a great message with a good presentation behind it. Looking forward to seeing you around.
Thank you so much for the show tonight!! You had me laughing non-stop and your message really hit home. I appreciate you sharing your story with us. Keep doing what you’re doing! God Bless!!!
Hey Bernie! I loved the performance tonight, truely inspiring and without a doubt one of the funniest standups I have ever seen. With an unbelievabley powerful message to throw into the mix. Your truely one of a kind and im glad there is someone out there like you to take the extra step in fixing todays next generation. Good luck man, and stay true.

Bernie,
Thanks so much for coming to Wahpeton, ND!! I hope you come again!!!At first, I didnt think it was going to be very interesting but Im very happy that I did go.You were hilarious and gave a awesome message!! I hope when people go drinking and do drugs that your message will pop into their minds and be like wait a minute theres something wrong here, I shouldnt be doing this. Maybe they will be more responsible after listening to your message. I drink occasionally but I have friends that go out and hoping that your message got through there heads and hope they dont end up doing something stupid and ruining there life. Im glad that you and your brother are really close and Im glad that you dont feel ashamed of having a brother that has a learning disability. We all have a disability one way or another. When you said that your mom came and visited you in jail, I was imaginating that I was in your shoes and that I was talking to my own mom I got very emotional inside. My mom and I are very close!!Im glad you got the nerve to tell yourself I need to change and get the REAL bernie back, and which you did. Im very proud of you. I wish that some of my friends, family and relatives could do that. I would really like to read “I killed”..Well, thanks again and hope you come back next year!! Have a safe trip back home and God Bless you!!
Bernie,

I am on our Alcohol Task force and work to bring awareness to our students about drugs and alcohol. “Realty” in the form that you placed it sends a “true message”. Thank you from all of us at NDSCS!

Hey Bernie, I thought your show was really good and that you found a perfect way to get through to people. I hope you’ll make it back around this area again sometime. I think it’s awesome how good you are to your brother and I know it means the world to him. My older brother, Andy, who is now 22 is down syndrome and I love him to death. Good luck to you in the future and take care!
Hey Bernie,
That show was awesome. You definetly did a great job of turning something that was funny into a great lesson for us. I hope that when people go drinking, or people that are already on a wrong path with drinking, they think about what you said and how you realized that it wasn’t just a fun social thing.
Bernie,
Thank you so much for coming to Wahpeton to talk to us. You definitely made us laugh and even some of us cry. Your story is very inspirational! Nice show Bernie, I really enjoyed it…I’ll have to admit I was asking myself all the while I was planing on going to the show, “How is he gonna make an alcohol awarness presentation funny?” You did a great job and I really had a good time.
Bernie,
Thanks so much for coming to Valley City and doing a show for us. It was great to finally have someone who know how to speak to college students about drugs and alcohol but do it a funny way. Your stories about your life truly touched me especially the one about your brothers. You left a great impression on this school. Enjoy the rest of your tour.
Great message bro.
Great show. I am an older than average student and I brought my husband and my 15 and 12 year old kids. I am so glad I did. I think they really enjoyed your show and took a strong message home with them. They have talked about you for two days now and think your Cool. Thanx and God bless you in your future shows.
Your brother is a stud! Please come again sometime, you are hilarious, and a visit from you would be nice, since it’s not much to look forward to in WAHP! thank you for coming out.
