It was an interesting, mandatory, uncomfortable, slice of life, humorous, praise praise praise, complain complain complain time. Bottom line I enjoyed it.
hey bernie, awesome show, it really reinforced all the values that i had coming into college. Values that i kno will be tested. But because of your show, i feel that i will be able to stand up for what i believe in much better.

Your show was amazing. I tend to like motivational comedians more than most of my friends, but your firsthand experience combined with the perfect ratio of comedy to “lecturing” had me hanging on yor words. I’m so glad to have had the oppurtunity to hear you.

Hello there. Andrew Whitcomb here, freshman student at RIT.
I was wondering why we would be dragged to a comedy show. I was thinking if we were being forced to the comedy show, maybe RIT was just pulling some random person off the street. However, happy to see my presumption was wrong. You had the right mix of comedy and seriousness, something not many can balance. Hope the tour continues on well, and who knows, maybe you’ll go from college to some other bigger place, like HBO.
Thank you so much for the show. It was very funny, I was laughing the entire time. It was a great message and really touched me. Your brother sounds like an amazing person and he really looks up to you. You really have straightened your life out. I will def keep my priorities straight. Family, School, Lacrosse, Friends, and partying sometimes but not in excess. I mean its college… I did drink sometimes is high school and my grades remained high so I probably will sometimes in college but I will def pay attention to my schooling first. Thanks again!

Awesome stuff. For the first time I’m not kidding. And i though comedy and inspiration message is a bad mix. Guess I was wrong. Idea of leaving the hall after 20 minutes staying there didn’t came up to me until you show ends!

Dude, that was an awesome show. You really gave support to the values that I brought to college with me. Being the youngest child, I was constantly being told by older siblings and parents to be responsible and to never do drugs or drink. I’m proud to say that I don’t do any of those things and I hope that I will be pressured into trying those things.
You’re real funny and you have an awesome message. Keep it up because I believe it actually gets through to students.

Great show, had some good laughs, great message too! At the risk of sounding a little like a geek even at and IT school. The Force is with this one! =)
Honestly as an Inspirational speaker you did great. But in regards to your comedy. It was relatively bad. Everyone in the room could feel the awkwardness when your jokes felt short (which was often). Your material was often unoriginal – yes I am talking about all your celebrity jokes, they have all been done. And the few times you were funny it felt like an accident. Fortunately you fell onto comedy gold when using the translator.

I had a ton of fun at your presentation, you had me and the people around me cracking up in the seats. I’m glad I was able to pick you up at the airport and get you acclimated to the area. I hope you enjoyed your time in Rochester, keep on spreading the good word, and hanging out with your brother.

Yeah, I wasn’t amazingly excited about having to go to the show, but I’m really glad they made me. I got a ton of laughs and the message in the center was truly well-spoken, and I think it got across to quite a few people.

You did a good job balancing comedy and inspiration (as #17 stated) , although the comedy portion fell flat a few times. Great job bringing the translator into the mix, though, and the final portion about the old girlfriend photo was a great ending!
