I hit the stage running today, and could not have been more excited to meet the students and community members of Guam! A special message just before showtime pumped me up and gave me inner strength! The crowd at the University was AWESOME, and I hope you enjoyed the many laughs and also take with you some valuable information on staying focused and achieving your goals and dreams! I have posted some pics of the show and also of me with the Chief of Police Paul Suba!
Thank you to Flora, Sarah, Monica, Tom, Toby, Angel and the entire U of G Endowment Foundation! dear bernie, i really enjoyed you’re show at first i didn’t want to come but then i had a second thought and i’m really glad i didn’t skip it. i honestly know where you’re coming from when you loose someone because of drugs and alcohol. i’ve had to help someone close to me because of alcohol mostly and you can say i was close to loosing that friend but in my right state of mind i managed to save him and now he is doing better than ever and is on his way to getting married. when i look at those who don’t know how to control themselves with the use of alcohol or drugs it bugs me because i don’t think neither solves anything that is troubling you it just makes it worse. i have tried weed and alcohol when i was still in middle school and some while in high school and well i’m 24 and i pretty much grew out of it. i mean don’t get me wrong i’ll have an occassional drink but i drink at home that way i know i’m safe and i don’t have to drive. because i experienced alcohol more as a young guy going out doesn’t even come close to mind. you what they say, “been there done that,” so in all i haven’t gone out in almost three years, well besides i work at a bar so going out is somewhat still in my life but alcohol free and i get paid to watch others get drunk, ha! well this ends my reply of the show i hope that you get to make your way back to the island, looking forward for another show. oh, don’t forget in Hawaii its bra’ or bro’ on the island of guam its chelu’ which means friend or brother.
Bernie,
Great show. I went in there thinking all it was going to be was stand up comedy. But you touched on some topics that are really relevant in the lives of teens and college students. Thank you for demonstrating the effects drugs and alcohol can have on a person’s life.
Sincerely,
Annie
Bernie,
You are the best…..Lucy
Hi Bernie!
Thanks again from everyone here at the Endowment Foundation! We all had a wonderful time and fully enjoyed your show! In fact, we were still all laughing this morning over breakfast! Safe travels and come again!

Hey,
I really enjoyed the show. Hope you visit us soon.
hey bernie,
I gotta give you major props. I went to your show thinking to myself lets get this over with so i can get my extra credit. After the show i was sad it had to end. You inspired me to analyze exactly how much i drink in the day and how often i go out during the week. Sad to say 8-10 glasses of rum and coke a day/4-5 times a week. I never looked at it from your point of view and realized that i spend more time at the club than anywhere else. Alcohol has been my only friend and that’s pretty sad cause i’m a loveable woman. I hope to find an alternative to my drinking and cut down or maybe even stop. who knows.. Thanks for the motivation.. Your Grand!!!
Bernie, thank you for making an appearance here at UOG because I feel your message is one that cannot ever be stated enough. And yes, sometimes it takes a tragedy to make a complete change in one’s life…but hopefully its one that will be a positive one…like yours.
Hafa Adai Bernie!
I really enjoyed your show. I went to your show not knowing what to expect. But I’m glad I went because not only were you funny, but you delivered a great message. Too many young college students are affected by alcohol and drugs. Your show may be the one thing that changes their perpective on life and their priorities. Good luck on your future shows and we hope you come back soon!
Adios!
