I really enjoyed it, but most of all appreciate your work and sharing your life experiences with us! Thanks =)

Personal experience brings home this issue, along with any other problems. Being taught facts about it with someone yelling down your throat doesn’t work. I thought you were very informative.

Hey. I enjoyed your comedy bit. You rock!

  4. 4 Equestrian Team

Great job tonight, hilarious and touching

  5. 5 Jamie

hahaha, I’m still laughing at some of your jokes. During your show, I actually forgot that I was at an alcohol awareness session. The way you incorporated your story and your message was perfect. Definitely the best alcohol awareness teaching I’ve had. Thanks for helping me burn a few extra calories tonight!

Thanks again Bernie- minor snags in the beginning – turned out to be a great show.

Thanks for sharing your life with us.

  7. 7 Shannon Higgins

Amazing job, hilarious! I enjoyed this a lot. Your personal experience really made us listen and your act made it more enjoyable than most other lectures. I appreciate what you do, it was very catchy yet informative as well. Thanks!

  8. 8 Katie Johnston

Thanks for the show tonight. I must say not at all what I expected, yet nothing like I’ve ever seen before. Almost made me cry…keep it up!

  9. 9 Ben

Good stuff tonight…really funny and good interaction with the audience

  10. 10 Amanda Weiner

I had a really great time tonight. It was the first time I actually enjoyed an alcohol awareness program. Thanks for providing us with your comedy as well as personal experience and knowledge

Hey – I was dreading this evening and you caught me by surprise – informative and funny – I ended up enjoying it

  12. 12 Julie

I loved the way you went about the entire issue, it was very nice and good to hear. Thanks

I can tell you’ve been through so much, it takes a lot to share such personal experinces as the ones you told in front of a group so large. You really opened my eyes to what can really happen if you take drinking to the next level. I loved hearing about your relationship with your mentally disabled brother, it was so touching! You were also hilarious!!

  14. 14 Chelsea Anderson

Thanks for a great night– that sounded dirty huh… well in all honesty you gave an amazing performance, reaching out to students through personal experiences yet connecting to our age group through your jokes. I laughed so hard… felt good! Thanks again!

P.S. I’m in the volleyball picture to your immediate left!

  15. 15 Ryan

    Great show man! Good job!

  16. 16 Parker

    hey Bernie
Awesome job. I thought you were very personal with the audience. great job.

  17. 17 Eric

Great comedy and touching story that told a message without feeling preachy. You proved that the last thing someone should loose is their sense of humor.

  18. 18 Archery Team

Most of the archery team is straight edge. Most don’t drink, or do any sort of recreational drugs. In truth, we thought that your whole speech was awesome. We were laughing and we really appreciated that we didn’t have the 90 year old man showing us slides of car crashes telling us that if we drive drunk we could end up like the picture. Hearing about your personal experience only helped bring the point home. It was also really great to meet you in person!

  19. 19 Phillip Carlu

Really funny, didn’t expect the meeting to be enjoyable but I really had a good time. Some of the things you said really hit home, pertaining to pot and alcohol and how they really don’t help any problems. Family is what really matters, the story you told was sad but inspirational. Good Job.

  20. 20 Dressage Team

Bernie thank you so much for coming to UCONN and making alcohol awareness fun and informative! We appreciate you sharing your life stories and you inspired us all. Keep up the great work!

  21. 21 Steve

Thanks for the laughs and inspirational message Bernie. Was not looking forward to the event but, I was pleasantly surprised. I took away a very important message from you. Great show, keep up the good work Headband-Man.
