    Bernie:

You were great! I attended the VCCS conference and was fortunate to attend Happy Hour. Your message was powerful and truthful. Thank you for sharing it with me. There are so many people (not just students) that need to hear your message. I am forwarding your website to several people I know could benefit from it. You also provided me with information that I was not aware of about alcoholism. I’m confident I was in the right place at the right time. With your information it is possible I can help change the direction of someone I know and care about. Can’t thank you enough!!!

    Thanks

WOW!!!! IF I had never met an inspirational speaker who motivated me to make my life a written story, IT IS BERNIE!!! He is a great inspirational speaker who will motivate anyone, no matter where they come from. I grew up in the Foster Care System and has never really had someone to look up to. This speaker has helped to give me the courage to network out to find “Families” that might be able to welcome me in their hearts, or possibly be a support system for myself.

THANK YOU SO MUCH BERNIE!!! YOU ARE TRULY REMARKABLE!!!! K.I.T.

Thank you for the message you shared with us. I will not “try” to follow your advice… no, not try… instead, I will be like Nike and “just do it”. I look forward to living a more meaningful & less chaotic life. Thank you so much for your time and thank you for your attention. I appreciate you, your gift of sharing, and your message. Thank you! God Bless!

    Hi,

I had a fabulous time at your presentation last night at the VCCS Leadership Conference in Newport News Virginia. I really enjoyed your take on teaching alcohol awareness. I was one of the audience who, when asked, said I never touched alcohol, and your point of view was a great contrast to the usual lecture given to teens. Thank you so much for coming to speak to Virginia’s Student Leadership.

Thank you for being funny with a message! It was great of you to share your personal story as a means to inspire others. We all have a past, a story to tell, and it’s possible that story could be of benefit to someone else, but sometimes the one’s we need to hear are the ones that we don’t. It takes a lot of courage to stand before an audience and tell them about your flaws when so many in the world today only want to see perfection, and I am glad that you have that courage. As one of the “older” students at the VCCS conference (age 37), and after having lived with a parent who abused drugs, I truly appreciate the sacrifice it takes to relive this event every time you have to tell it to a crowd of young people. Hopefully, your message WILL get through, not only to their hearts, but to whatever it is that will tell them NOT to follow that path that will lead them to drugs and alcohol. Good luck to you in all your endeavors!

Thank you so much for an awesome presentation! Your style of comedy was perfect for the crowd as you lead into the more serious side of your message. I have never heard a room go so quiet and see so many individuals focused on your message as I did on Saturday. I was one of the many wiping tears from my eyes. Alcohol awareness is so crucial in this day and I applaud you for taking this positive direction with your life! Keep up the tremendous work you are doing and your impact on people of all ages is so powerful!

    Bernie,
You are amazing!!! I love what you are doing and I can see that you are so happy where you are at in life. Listening to you was wonderful. I was one of the people who have never touched the stuff, but I truly hope you affected many people’s lives that day. I wish you only the best in your years to come!!! Now, I’m gonna “hit you up” on MySpace!

    Thanks…..for the laughs!

    BERNIE!!!

Your story inspired me and your jokes made me laugh, and I consider myself a comedy expert. I love how you brought it clean and exact. Dane Cook used to be my favorite, but I’m tryin’ to clean things up and your show was a Godsend. Thanks a lot!

    Hello Bernie

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet you and to hear your funny and inspirational story. It is good to see someone overcome their problems and is able to change other people lives. Your story hit home because I have a friend that is going through the same situation, the more you talked, the more I got emotional and could not hold back my tears anymore. I try to tell my friend about her wicked ways but all she care about is satisfying her drinking habit. I just want to commend you on your success because you are someones hope and dream. I wish the best for you and your family.

    Hello Bernie,
I was at the vccs leadership conference and i got a lot out of your message. I could identify with so much of your story that it is scary. I come from a family of fourteen siblings and wish ten of them could have heard your message sat night. I truly believe your inspirational story have saved many lives that night. (I cried). I also have a baby with special needs and i pray to be as close to him as you are with sean. So you see when i say i can identity with much of your story its real.Maybe someday you can come to tidewater and make a difference in some of the young teenagers that think life is a game when it comes to hanging out and drinking.
    Keep making a difference.
I was looking for a pic of sean but cannot find it.

    Bernie,

Love the message of your show. This was the second time I had seen you perform and deliver you message, and wow what a message it is. Being older than your average college student and coming from a family that was affected by alcohol for many years I can appreciate what you are doing more, and I think your message was well delivered and received by those who attended. Thank you for doing what you do and I know you will continue to tour to make a difference in the lives of college students.

Keep up to tour and thank you for your time
    Matt
