Good performance. Much better than all the other alcohol awareness presentations.

    bernie,

Tonight’s show was one on the best alcohol realated speeches ever heard. I could relate to alot of things you had to say, being and person who has also recieved a DUI in the past. I have had friends peer pressure me into drinking way past my limit and it hurt me in high school. Just like you I had trouble with my grades my senior year and my baseball and football skills diminished with every party i went to. After my senior year i came to mercer and just trying to fit in started drinking more and over christmas break got a DUI driving some of my friends back home. That night was a turning point for me I spent the next day and a Half in a holding cell and after learned who my true friends were. I still drink but i can say i have not been drunk in about a year. I dont take into peer pressure anymore and am usually one of the guys in my frat that is watching out for other guys and being the asshole who forces others to stop. Thank you so much for coming to macon and reminding how much more to life there is other than the party scence.

    thanks
    matt

I don’t mind being the first to post. I enjoyed the presentaion tonight. You put a very humorous twist on a very serious subject and made everyone in the audience hang on word for word. Thanks for the laughs…..lol.

Wow, your show is by far the most inspirational and funniest alcohol awareness show I have ever seen. I loved every minute of your show. If you could, I would love if you would email me the title of that book so I can purchase it. Thanks!

I went to a high school that brought in the boring alcohol-awareness guys and they would tell us what to do and what not to do. They all had their gimmicks before they got into their “serious” stuff, you know where the energy in the room plummits. Well, I think that your mix is not only funny and inspirational, but it is one of the best times i’ve had at a “forced” school function.

It was AWESOME! Thanks Bernie! I really enjoyed it!

I’m the guy with the shitty car. I liked your show, but there was a part early on where you sounded like Kevin Meaney. You said something in a quasi-high voice and said, “That’s not right…” I think even though most people had to be there they still had a great time regardless. Personally, I was there covering stuff for the school paper. I was curious about how you got in to comedy.

I absolutely loved your show tonight. I have a situation that I need to talk to you about but I would rather message you privately….so maybe I will hit you up on facebook.

Thanks again for coming tonight and hopefully you can help me.

So it’s the morning after and I am still thinking about last night! I laughed at every joke except the Britney Spears ones! (I gotta stay true to her no matter how weird she gets..haha) I think that what you are doing is amazing and 19 years!! CONGRATULATIONS! Your story really touched me like I am sure it has several others. One of my best friends and fellow teammate died in a drinking and driving car accident when I was in high school, which was my turning point. I get so frustrated when speakers come and talk about this issue and students don’t listen or take anything he or she said to heart, but with you that was not the case! Please continue to keep reaching out to students because it is an act like yours that is going to get through to a lot of people. Come back to Mercer soon!

    Bernie,

Props for a funny and effective show… reading the comments above, it seems as you had a direct impact on some of our students.

Thanks and I hope you are able to make it to many more college campuses…

Bernie…how lucky is Sean to have YOU!
I was there as an old fogie staff member to keep our young adult charges in line for the guest speaker they were “forced” to attend. I even brought paperwork to do for them and myself in case we got bored! (That is the way these meetings usually go…as you know.)Anyhow…in less than 2 minutes into the show…I knew I would not need the paper work…and a great time was had by ALL. Thank you for the gift of your message. It had an impact. I am so sorry for your loss… I am sure you have saved many of our young people today. Thank you.
