What a week we just had sailing the inner passage of Alaska. Got to take one of the true heroes in my life, my dad and his wife Teri on the journey. Between dad and wife’s meal visits (Fatkins diet) , we actually got to talk and walk out into a port or two. The highlight of the trip were two-fold: Seeing the joy on my dad’s face while standing on the top of Taku Glacier and two: the many laughs and comeraderie shared with the very entertaining and kind Szczurek family! You never know when someone is going to enter your world…make you smile, make you laugh and then kick your butt in a card game called SPEED! ( I got your number next time D! That’s right! Aunt M says she is still the Queen however! 
The crowds were amazing, but the laughs and relationships made….were even better! I never take these days for granted. These are amazing days…. filled with such special people. 
From shows, to glaciers, to the dreaded ‘couch’ in the Sports bar- to bringing Fish n Chips back to the ship… The laughs were flowing and the smiles plentiful. These are the days….
Back on tour starting WED of next week. Iowa….’Happy Hour’ rolls into your house… next!
‘D’… have the time of your life in Europe!

Thanks Auntie M- but you are going down also when I see you guys again. Wait…(I better rephrase that). You don’t want some of my Speed! I am now a trained professional;! (Though I must confess…D. We had a blast. Dad is STILL talking about it. Teri is in her living room in Massachusettes, unwrapping a light blue napkin with a ‘little’ sandwich just to hold her over till dinner!
