    Bernie,
Check it out man I was at your SCAD show and psyked. If you remember I was the huge 6′2″ White kid who looked like Napoleon Dynamite that said hi after your show. One of my two majors is Pereforming Arts and one of my goals is to do stand up. The reason why I’m telling you this is because I love stand up comedians and Bernie, you were my first live show! And the whole time you’re up there talking about the giants that I idolize like Ron White and how you’ve bumped elbows with them, I’m so glad you turned your life around Bernie. I’ve always been afraid of substanes because I felt like if I blew my chances at shool I was done; but you really jumped back on that horse. Like I said its a great thing to check in and get a booster on my bareings because being a good kid just doesn’t seem all that great soemtimes. I don’t know if you ever encountered this but the most painful thing about substances for me is when your friends on the block from the youngest of days (when we were all good kids) start slipping down that road. I want forget the day that I had to tell the human being I felt closest to that I couldn’t follow him where he was going.

Bernie I’m sending you a blog so I can also tell you that the reason why I’m double majoring in Production Design is because when I get my degrees I’m gong to have my own theater and arts outlet facility. When I do this I want to bring you in to do your show for my audiences. Its a long way off and I have to turn alot of initiative into action but im telling you that if tyou give me a way to contact you, you wont hear from me again but I’m telling you that with god as my witness, in however many years it takes I will contact you again with a gig.

Bernie I hope I win that book and I wish you all the best.

Yeah, first one to comment. That was a great show, Bernie. I agree with your message and i’m just here to say that you were the first comedian I ever saw live, and i’m glad it was you. Best of luck in any future endeavors, and come back to SCAD soon!

    Bernie,

I’ve seen a great deal of live stand up comedians in my short 23 years of life, because I’ve been lucky. And am somewhat of a minor comedian myself, and i make it a point to see as much comedy as I can, preferably live. A lot of comedians I’ve seen tend to have some sort of minor inspirational story in there act attached to the comedy at the end, and many rarely do. You are the first comedian that has ever made me teary eyed from both laughing and from inspiration. From what I’ve seen today, I don’t think any one else could match what you pulled off tonight in the Trustees Theatre on broughton street and connect with a college community on the same level that you managed to in the way that you did. It was a priviledge to have attended your show. And although it was my first time ever hearing of you, you are officially up on my top list of comedians. Congrats! And I think you’re brother would be extremely proud of you. I think you changed alot of people, and if you didn’t, you made them analyze where they are and where they are going. Good luck on the tour!

    Hey Bernie,
I just wanted to drop a line and let you know how I felt about the show. I really appreciated your approach to touching on those topics, as a great deal of my friends in the past might have benefited from hearing it like that. I’m one of those few people in the theater that raised their hand when you asked if anyone never touched the stuff. I can’t claim to know exactly what everyone else is suffering from, but I did watch a lot of my high school classmates fall into that dangerous pattern. I watched far too many of them. Some people I really care about have made life altering decisions based on drugs and alcohol that won’t be solved by six months in prison, and they’re paying for it now. Thank you, Bernie, for trying to make a difference. It means a lot to me, even if you don’t know who I am. Congratulations on ten years of touring, and I hope you continue to make that extra effort for years to come.

Have to repeat what is being said.
The show was full of laughter and inspiration and was just plain enjoyable.
I hope you can return and spread your message to the future Savannah students.

Your last tale about your brother waiting with his Power Rangers bag gave me an mental image I had to jot dot. Happens at an art college, right?
So, thought your brother might get a kick out of being a Power Ranger:

Hope he enjoys. Again, thanks and best of luck on the road!

Can’t we get a comedian without a recrd?….I kid =3 I loved the show…it bummed me out alittle cause I have friends at home who have the drinking problems you mentioned. I personally dont drink or do drugs because I’m boring like that and can make myself look stupid without that stuff…so I’m glad you turned yourself around.I enjoyed watching you and I love that you go around and try to inspire people to realize what they are doing. Thanks a bunch. Hope to see you back at SCAD soon!
