Your message is Grand and the way you put it out there for the young people is WONDERFULL!!!!!! My kids were all commenting on how well they liked it and how it was presented in a way they will allways remember. I just wanted to say THANK-YOU for comming to MINOT ND and sharing your story!!!

That was a kick ass show! I’m in treatment right now for alcohol and drugs. I’ve been battling it for about twelve years now. I can relate to alot of what you said. It started that way for me too. Now here I sit in Tx for the sixth time wondering where my life went wrong. My best friend took his life when we were 20. Its a rough deal. I’ve had brief periods of sobriety (the longest being 8 months). Its tough dealing with the wreckage of the past, but thats what makes us stronger.

    Hey Bernie:
I just wanted to say thanks for the laughs tonight. You were awesome. Not only did you releive some stress, but of course you had a point too. But I like to say your point was rather touching. Although I do not personally have a drinking problem, I do have some people very close to me who do; one in which was not there tonight and I wish he was. I hope someday my friend will realize what you realized. He has already gotten in a drinking/drug related accident on July 4 and almost died. The sad part is, after almost 2 months, he thinks he is invincible and is back to the same thing. Sometimes I wonder what it will take for people to see the light…
    Thanks for your enlightment.

    Hey Bernie,
I just wanted to say thanks so much for your message you delievered! You were so right about boring lectures and how your pillow and warm bed seems so much more exciting than that lecture!
I wanted to say thanks for sending out yor message it mean a lot to me, especially since I lost an uncle and two younger cousins this summer to a drunk driver… thanks.

    Hey Bernie,

Thanks for coming to our campus last night. I know many students were entertained by your comedy and moved by your story. I overheared one of our athletes as he was leaving say “that wasn’t so bad” which you know means “you rock!!” I only wish that our entire student body had been there and hope you will come back next year. I’m sure those who attended this year will tell people next year “you don’t want to miss this guy”. Keep doing what you do and God bless.

I just thought that I would let you know that your show was awsome and that all the things that you had to say (apart from some of the jokes) rang true with me… my bestfriend killed himself, and I put my drink down at a party, i really admire what you are doing and I hope you keep doing it, because you are changing the lives of many many people. I think that more people need to hear what you have to say!!! Good job, and God bless ~*~ Amy~*~

Hey Bernie! Just thought I’d let ya know that you were hands down, the funniest I’ve heard in a long time!! I think everyone appreciated your show. I know some of the athletes were complaining cuz they had to attend, but the next day every other sentence that came out of their mouth was a line from your show!! Ya did good man!! I just wana let you know that your show not only made me laugh, but your message also hit home! I am the oldest of 5 & my youngest brother has Down syndrome. He’s the light of my life & truly an angel among us!! He’s always so happy-go-lucky & doesn’t let the stress of everyday life get him down!! No matter what we do together, it’s always a guarenteed great time & I thank God every day for sending me a little piece of Heaven to show me how I should be living my life here on Earth!! When you were talking about how your brother is your hero, I was holding back the tears because I know exctly where you’re coming from!!! Also, thanks for presenting alcohol awarness in the awesome way you did!! You are an Amazing Speaker & your technique kept the attention of every person in that room from your very first joke until your closing line. I think you really touched & influenced everybody at that assembly (even the big tough ’show no emotional’ football players). Good luck to you man & thanks again for the awesome show!! ~Sierra~
PS: My lil’ bro will always be my anti-drug!! :)

    Hey Bernie!
Well what can I say? Your show was amazing…definitely
not what ANY of us were expecting. I really respect you
and what you do; I know for a fact you touched all of us
with your message. Thanks for telling your story…you
had us roaring at times and dead silent at others…you’re
a great speaker. Alcoholism runs in my family, and it’s scary to think about, but I know what I want outta life and
I don’t want to fall into alcohol. Thanks again for coming to MSU…peace.
