I had a blast tonight in Toledo. I almost didn’t make it here, got stuck in a snow storm in Chicago. My Toledo flight was cancelled, so I ran across the airport and got the last seat on a flight to Detroit! Rented a car and drove in from Detroit to meet all the Greeks and mainstream students of Toledo. And you think show business is glamorous! LOL You guys were one of my best audiences this Spring! I had a blast! Thanks for taking the pictures after the show. Jackie!!!

The show was absolutely Fantastic. In my four years as a Greek at UT, I have heard my fair share of speakers. What sets you apart from all the rest is your humor and more importantly you are real and you don’t preach. The last thing college students need is another adult telling us what to do, instead your story spoke volumes and made a real impression. Thanks for coming to UT!

A broke college student follows free food. When it actually leads to something else that is also free and of great value, that’s priceless. I will be honest. I expected mediocre humor, and a poor presentation of ‘lessons’. What we got was great and entertaining humor, and a flawless segue to a hard lesson that was related with sincerity and a straight-talk quality that never lost all the humor, and never got…well, annoying.
Good luck spreading your message and entertaining the masses. Thank you for sharing your time with us.

Bernie, thank you so much for coming out to Toledo. Up until about a week ago when I saw your flyer around campus I had no idea who you were and I honestly was more excited about the Chipolte than anything else. You shifted my attention away from the burritos real quick though! I love standup comedy and you were one of the most impressive comedians I’ve ever seen. I have seen Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin James, and Greg Giraldo, but the one thing none of those guys had was a motivational attitude that uplifted people who are not only struggling with alchol, but so many other addictions. Your message of hope was incredible! I lost my little sister to cancer 13 years ago and I know how hard it can be to lose a sister, or a brother in your case. You were so strong up on stage talking about it and that was huge for me because I still get choked up talkiing about my sister in front of people. Anyway, I’m long-winded, but it was a pleasure meeting you at the show and I hope you make it up to Toledo again in the future. Thanks again!

Bernie- great show man! i have had the chance to see several acts in the past few years including dane cook, stephen lynch, and even mitch hedberg before his unfortunate passing. anyways it was nice to see a show with not only a unique message but such a positive attitude about sensitive subjects. keep up the good work man.
