Feel free to send me an email about your next tour. I look forward to reading your book. Again thanks for coming here.
Bernard,
Hey I just got home from your show at Western TEch. College. I thought it was really good. You had alot of stories that kids could realate to and then they clould really think about and ask if they were actually partying too much. there was also a really good message there about how you should choose your friends wisely and that you dont need alcohol in your life to have a good time.
Bernie, thanks for relaying an important and serious message in a humorous way today at Western. I would like to think at least one or two people listened and were influenced to change based on your message and experiences.

Hey Bernie,
I just wanted to say I am so glad I got to come to your performance today. Your message truely impacted me I was almost in tears when you talked about your brother because I can kinda relate. I’ll tell a little story, I was in the military for 2 years and my best friend there had a serious drinking and alchol problem. He ended up going to treatment after he over dosed on cocaine, alchol and sleeping pills. That night he bought an eight ball of cocaine mixed it with alchol then at 2 in the morning took sleepin pills to try to sleep at 6 he had to go to the airport to fly home to texas, I was the lucky one to get to bring him. Well everything was fine until we got to the airport when he said he didnt feel right (no i was at home i was not engaging in this activity with him just to clarify) so he asked if i would stay with him and I did. While sitting there alls I remember is him taking a drink of gatorade then he began to seziure, foamed at the mouth, head bouncing off the wall it was horrible and no one in the airport would stop to help and I didnt know what to do all of a sudden he stopped and went into a lifeless slump on the chair, I dropped to my knees balling thinking my friend had just died in front of me. An older lady then approached me saying I should go by my friend her husband found a pulse and he probably needed me. I went by him he didnt know his name, my name he thought we were in the mall he was soaked in sweat and burning up. To sum things up he went to the emergency room, got released 4 hours later and continued to use cocaine saying it was just because he mixed it with alchol and sleeping pills. I went and told our unit which then put him in rehab for 37 days. Did he learn no he still to this day drinks everyday to try to deal with his problems. It was the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen and that right there was my turn around in life. I now have a son who also helps keep me focused and your right you can have so much fun without alcohol or drugs and save so much MONEY! I tried retelling your jokes about the mcdonalds and sue your parents if your ugly and the snooze button but people didnt seem to think it was as funny as I did, maybe it was becuase of the person telling it ha ha. Your story truely touched me and I hope alot of younger kids can get the message because I heard alot of smart comments today, I guess the rest of them will learn the hard way then to like some of us have. I wish I could be the social type like you said to that can have just one drink but I found I have a problem where I cant I guess that is my genetic make up from an alcholic family huh? Anyways this is long as ever hope I kept you interested in my story you truely will be in my thoughts cause you did make an impact on my life with your story! God Bless and KILL EM wherever you go!
I would like to thank you for coming to Western Technical College, you addressed an issue of great concern not only here in La Crosse, but at most all Universties. Somewhere along the way drinking has become a serious problem on college campuses all around the US. There is no one solution to this problem, but hearing real life stories, like your own, makes this problem seem real. What you have dealt with and overcame is a huge success, don’t stop sharing your story. You’ve found your place in this world…kill em!
Hey Bernie!
It was a fun hour with a great message for the younger kids there. I am 24 and love comedy so that is why I came to see you. I hope you got through to some of those kids. I learned my lesson on alcohol back when I was 18! It was fun then but now at 24, I feel old, LOL, jk. Thanks for comming! It was fun!

Bernie, i really liked your show……..it was fucking funny as hell. i’m only 17, and i’ve been through alot of shit….i used to alot of different types of drugs, skip school. I turned my life around. i’ve always been a failing student…even before the drugs. but now i’m getting all A’s and i never get in trouble. My parents finally said they were proud of me. But thank you for your excellent show. It left a great message. I wanted to talk to you but i had to go give blood right after. But thanks and you have a great day! PEACE & LOVE…Alli
hey bernie,
i just wanted to say that your show was awsome. i cant remember the last time i had laughed like that, and your message was as clear as a wistle. Now i am going to think twice about the choices i make.
thanks again
Thank you for comming to WTC. I am doing an internship at the neighboring Health Department where one of my focuses is on promotiong responsible alcohol consumption, so I had to sneek over to see your show. It was AMAZING, and I know SO many of my friends that would defently relate and benefit from seeing it.
You should film a DVD or record a CD and than… consider it ORDERED! I would share it with my friends and at some of the dorm and High School outreach programs I have been doing.
Your awesome and keep up the good work!
P.S. If I win the copy of the book I would be honored to have an autograph!
Hi Bernie,
Thank you for coming to Western. It was an awesome show!!! You killed. I didn’t get to see all of it, but what I did see was great. I would recommend any college or university to have you as a guest speaker. You were informative and serious, but at the same time funny. I know your message was well received and will be remembered by everyone in that room. Your presentation wasn’t preachy. It was the perfect mix to get your message across. That’s one of the biggest challenges faced when trying to educate people about alcohol use. Getting your message across was where you really shined. You had the audiences undivided attention.
You’re a great role model and inspiration to anyone that is going through the situation you went through. You changed some lives yesterday. You inspired people to take a look at themselves and their friends. You got through to everyone in that room with your story.
