the message was phenominal. I see parralells in my life to everything Bernie talked about. I am a freshman and i am guilty of drinking 2-3 nights out of the week. I find my grades slipping especially in Fuch’s class. Having this message relayed to us (as a student body) really helped get the point across. The way Bernie entertained and still spoke from the heart was truly amazing. He has a great gift. The comedy was excellent and i especially enjoyed the joke about the rolling a “fatty”. On a serious note it was amazing. I have been touched enough through this lecture that i find myself now at 1:48pm in the Callahan Library already typing a post. I didn’t want to waste anytime. All the ideas flowing through my head needed to be written down and expressed while they are still fresh. I have always prayed i dont go down a path like the one described today but i didn’t knwo how fast it can suck you in. I now will be careful and try to keep a better handle on things. What was amazing about this lecture is that Bernie did not preach to us not to drink (we all know it is fun drinking) but he stressed the point do not make it a habit. Most lectures would be along the lines of “dont drink or else”, but the way this one was dleivered put Bernie on a level we were able to understand. Not only did he relay a great message but he did it in a way that made us (as an audience) not think he is higher that us but on the same level. This speech was more like a message you would get fomr one friend to another. For lack of a better term it was amazing. I hope to see it agian for my next 4 years. Later.

I was just sitting here at work an hour after the presentation telling my co-worker how good your presentation was, so I figured I would leave a comment. Every point Bernie made was pertinent and meaningful to the audience. Good job.

I am not going to lie, I thought it was going to be a big waste of time, but I didn’t know that it was going to be a comedic performance that would bring down the house. I had one of the best laughs i’ve ever had in my life, and yet the message that was driven across to the student body present will stay with them for some time, if not forever. This guy has been through alot in his life and I am sooo glad he decided to change his life around and share it with everybody else. I know now after this program to be more watchful of my friends and peers and make sure they don’t go down the same road that he went down. Once again, I enjoyed it tremendously and hope to see this performance again!

The show was unbelievably funny and inspiring. I have heard lectures about drugs and alcohol before but none of them can compare to your performance on Thursday. I was completely blown away, I even cried a few times. Most of the time it was from laughing so hard. If only everyone could learn from their experiences and do something good with it like you have, the world would be much easier to live in. Thank you so much for making this a part of your life because you might have saved someone else’s.
